In the northern sagas, the daisy was dedicated to the goddess of spring, Ostara, whose goblet was wrapped around with a garland of flowers with the advent of heat. The flower to which this Petite chunk® is dedicated was placed on the altar of the goddess of love Freya. The Germans call the daisy "the measure of love" ("Maasliebchen"), referring to the special role of its petals as an oracle.
